Join us for a weekend of Capoeira, Maracatú, Frevo, Côco and Samba de Roda
Free capoeira taster sessions are held on the first Wednesday of each month, from 7-8.30pm, but you don't need to wait for a taster session if you want to start sooner! Come and try this intoxicating Afro-Brazilian blend of martial arts, dance, music and acrobatics, whilst getting fit and making new friendships. Classes are open to students and non-students and are held at the Highfield Campus, in the Training Room of the SUSU Building. Dates for the next taster sessions are: - Wednesday 5th March 2025 - Wednesday 2nd April 2025 - Wednesday 7th May 2025 - Wednesday 4th June 2025
New family capoeira classes in Bournemouth are a big hit for parents and children! Come and try some capoeira together in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Learn the basic steps and kicks of capoeira, as well as handstands ('bananeira'), cartwheels (aú), and bridge ('ponte'), and the music and songs. Classes are held usually on Sunday mornings, about once per month - get in touch for details and updates. The cost is £5 per person, or £15 per family.
