We are very proud to be celebrating 6 years of the MarAzul traditional Friday Roda do Axé! This Friday, 5th August, we will have a special visitor to our traditional Roda do Axé. This time we will be honoured with the presence of one of the greatest representatives of Afro-Brazilian culture, directly from Salvador – Bahia, Master Môa do Katendê. On Friday 17th June, we are organising a special roda to help fundraise for ‘Movement for Change: The Capoeiragem Conference 2011′, when Mestre Joao Grande and Mestre Gato from Senzala will be with us in London. This Friday, we will have the special presence of Mestre Carlao from Kabula and Dr Mariana Candido. Dr Mariana Candido is a lecturer at Princeton University and a  specialist of Angolan history.
