Mestre Joãozinho da Figueira

On Friday 14th & Saturday 15th September 2012 we will be celebrating 7 years of the MarAzul Traditional Friday Roda in London!

Celebrating 7 years of the MarAzul Roda

We would like to invite everyone to celebrate with us. During the last seven years we have been graced with the presence of many teachers, masters and capoeiristas who have contributed to the strengthening of this movement.

As in previous years, to celebrate our integration with the capoeira movement in the UK, we are bringing two very special guests to share their experience and knowledge of Afro-Brazilian culture with us.

This year we will have the presence of Contra-Mestre Alex Carrapeta, from Mestre Marrom Capoeira and Students, and Professor Júlio Sanhaço, from Senzala Group, who will bring us their energy through workshops, music, capoeira and rodas.

Come and celebrate with us the 7th anniversary of the MarAzul Traditional Friday Roda, which has always been and will always be open to all, regardless of group, capoeira style, or level — a space for capoeiristas to share and interact.

Everyone is welcome!!

Programme:
Friday, 14th September 6.30-10pm — Three and a half hours of Roda.
Saturday, 15th September 10am-5pm — Workshops and vegetarian feijoada.
Ps. If the sun is still shining after the workshops, we will head to Camden Town for a street roda.

Place: Gibbs Green Community Hall, West Kensington, London W14 9NN.
Price: £15 for both days, including feijoada.
